Contacts and Notes Pro Terms of Use

The short version

• The app is licensed to you under Apple's Standard End User Licence Agreement. That is the agreement that binds.
• There is no account to create and no password to keep. Nothing here asks you to register.
• Pro is a subscription billed by Apple. You cancel it with Apple, not with us.
• Your notes are yours. Stop paying and nothing you have written is taken away.

1. Your licence

Downloading the app from the App Store grants you the licence set out in Apple's Standard EULA, which applies in full. We have not written a competing licence, because a second copy of the same agreement only drifts away from the one that actually binds.

2. No account

The app has no sign-up, no login and no profile. Your notes are stored on your iPhone. There is nothing for you to keep confidential on our side, and nothing for us to suspend or close.

3. Free and Pro

The app is free to use: voice notes, search and on-device transcription, for up to 30 notes you make (imported notes do not count) and your 300 most recent contacts.

Pro removes the limits, so you see every contact and keep unlimited notes, and adds the AI write-up with to-dos from every note, the business-card scanner, My card (your details as a QR code), two-way Google Contacts sync, sending notes to Obsidian, Notion, OneNote, Trello and Google Tasks, and bilingual capture. Pro is one monthly plan. New subscribers get the first week free, then the price shown in the app for your country. The prices on this site are the euro ones; the App Store shows yours.

4. Billing, renewal and cancelling

• Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
• The subscription renews by itself unless you turn renewal off at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
• You manage and cancel it in iOS Settings, your name, Subscriptions. We cannot cancel it for you, and we never see your payment details.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store terms. Your statutory rights as a consumer, including under EU and Dutch law, are unaffected by anything on this page.
• If a free week is offered and you subscribe during it, any unused part is forfeited when you buy a subscription, as Apple's terms provide.

5. What the app is provided as

The app is provided as-is. Two things are worth saying plainly rather than burying:

• Dictation is not perfect. Names are the hardest thing for speech recognition. Read a note back before you rely on it. You can edit any of them.
• The AI write-up is a convenience, not an editor. It can get something wrong. Your original wording is always kept, one tap away.

The app is not a system of record. Keep anything you cannot afford to lose somewhere you back up.

6. Your data

How the app handles your voice, your notes and your contacts is set out in the Privacy Policy. In short: transcription happens on your iPhone and the audio is discarded. The only things that leave your device are the text of a note when you use the Pro AI feature you agreed to, which we pass to our AI model provider (today Anthropic's Claude) and do not store (the provider may keep it up to 30 days for abuse monitoring), and, if you choose Google as your contact source, your contacts and notes, which go directly to your own Google account.

7. Fair use of the AI features

Pro includes up to 300 AI write-ups a month and 40 a day. One write-up covers up to about 5 minutes of speech, so a longer note uses more than one; unused write-ups do not carry over. The AI also runs through a shared service with a daily ceiling for all users, so that one heavy user cannot take it away from everyone. If you reach it, the app says so and your note is saved regardless. We may adjust the ceiling as the service grows.

8. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes appear here with a new "Last Updated" date. Apple's EULA changes only when Apple changes it.

9. Law and contact

Dutch law applies, without prejudice to the protections you have as a consumer in your own country of residence.
